Woman Banned From Beer Contest Because Brewing Requires Balls

From New Zealand - a woman named Rachel Beer denied a spot in a homebrewing competition. Uh, that’s not right.

As the article points out, brewing beer used to be considered “women’s work” - since it involved food/beverage preparation and happened in the kitchen.

not a big fan of jezebel, but, here are things i care a lot about:

1) sexism, and how shitty and limiting it is.  this woman makes quality beer!  why would you not want to drink it just because she’s a woman?  her last name is even beer it is so perfect

2) beer.  i care a lot about beer, and craft brewing, and how everybody should at least try it (if they’ve got the means and the desire), and how wonderful it is to make your own booze and share it with friends.
