The most violent, the most misogynistic, the most lyrically and thematically empty hip hop music is also the most commercial, which is consumed enthusiastically by white people. 

Why don’t we question those white fans about why exactly they like that kind of music so much, instead of POC, who are much more likely to boast a deeper knowledge of the genre? Who will be more likely to listen to rappers and artists not featured on commercial hip hop stations?
